change thousands of miles away. The story begins with THE SURPRISING
RISE of two diseases. Physician Michele Monteil has long felt that her
home island of Trinidad is a great place to grow up, but lately she’s
begun having doubts. Every day she confronts A MEDICAL MYSTERY THAT
