KEITH MATHER, U.S.
ARMY: Yes.
QUESTIONER: Can we
see your chains, please?

OLIVER HIRSCH,
U.S. AIR FORCE: We joined together in July, 1968, and we took sanctuary
in a church, and chained ourselves to ministers.

We essentially
called the press and said, "We're not going to Vietnam.

We're refusing
our orders, and in fact we're resigning from the military, come and get
us."

The fact that it
took them three days to decide how to deal with this tactically, it was
great.
