ANTONI GAUDI ART AND ARCHITECTURE |
|
"Gaudi spent most of his life in this workshop of his 'Cathedral of the Poor' as he liked to call the Sagrada Familia. The workshop was in a small building next to the church. His modest bedroom in the same building, was the home of the architect during his last years. It was from here he had set out for the church of Saint Philip Neri the day he was knocked down by a trolleycar, to die three days later, on June 10, 1926." (James Johnson Sweeney and Josep Lluis Sert, "Antoni Gaudi")
