OCCUPY TUCSON FOR EVERYONE

OCCUPY TUCSON FOR EVERYONE
MISSION STATEMENT
(Version 1.0)
Occupy Tucson is a local citizen movement born of the desire to join the
spirit of resistance to corporate oppression that has motivated the
Occupation of Wall Street, and is giving rise to occupation groups in
Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, Chicago and other cities. At its
first meeting on October 1st, Occupy Tucson adopted two goals: (1)
stripping corporations of their undeserved legal status as “persons,”
and (2) making it unlawful for corporations to contribute to political
campaigns. Occupy Tucson will network with the other occupation
movements across the nation to grow our numbers and self-awareness.
Occupy Tucson will end-run corporate media and publicize our
demonstration of public resistance by harnessing the resources of the
Internet, social media, mobile technology, online video, and guerilla
print media. Occupy Tucson will connect with people of every age-group
and ethnicity, so that our actions will reflect the needs of all our
people. Occupy Tucson will be a focus of creative activity and strategic
planning to bring meaningful change to our region and our world.

OCCUPY TUCSON: WHERE IS YOUR HEAD?
A philosopher’s comment: Without leaders, you are a body
without a head. Without Thomas Paine, no Declaration of Independence, no
American Revolution. It’s just Common Sense.

PRIMITIVE IN TUCSON (99%)
“I’M NOT THINKING!” — “To reason is treason.”

UNITY IS COMMUNISM: FUCK, YEAH!

OCCUPY MOVEMENTS: THE MEDIUM IS THE MESSAGE

A TRAITOR WALKS THE PLANK ON OCCUPY TUCSON'S
BLUNDERSHIP HALLELUJAH!
I regret that I have but one Facebook identity to give to
the cause of freedom.
OccupyTucsonNapsky’s slogans written on the mast are: (1)
There’s No “I” in Team, (2) You’re either with us or against us, (3) The
ends justify the means, (4) Better Red than dead, and (5) UNITY!

I COULD LOSE MY JOB 4 HAVING A VOICE

YES WE CAN! (A Six-Sided Pun)
1. Refers to the physical can.
2. Confirms that we can revolt.
3. The fist is a declaration of victory.
4. The revolution is "canned," produced assembly-line.
5. The can is generic, which further emphasizes that the revolution is
"canned."
6. It doubles as Obama's slogan, which indicates who owns the
revolution.

DO YOU GIVE A DAMN ABOUT JUSTICE?
(Bet You Don’t)
Gene Sharp,
"From Dictatorship to Democracy": "When members of the opponent
group are emotionally moved by the suffering of repression imposed on
courageous nonviolent resisters or are rationally persuaded that the
resisters' cause is just, they may come to accept the resisters' aims.
This mechanism is called conversion. Though cases of conversion in
nonviolent action do sometimes happen, they are rare, and in most
conflicts this does not occur at all or at least not on a significant
scale."

ZEN POLITICS?
JUST SAY "NOH" (In dishonor of Adam Pek)
Adam Pek said:
“To me the fact that this movement does not have
political agenda and list of demands is its
greatest strength. Because we do not have a
platform it becomes impossible for some
politician to rise on it to the next election
and kidnap the movement. Because we do not have
a single demand we do not have a bull’s eye that
can be attacked or exploited by media and those
in power. Because of this almost every one can
identify themselves with and be part of this
movement. Occupy Wall Street movement is for
people and as long we keep it clean of
opportunities for the greedy and dishonest we
will keep it alive and maybe with time it will
become our third option created by people for
people. It’s more like evolution than
revolution.”
