by Tara Carreon WARS ABOUT WARS! _______________ See "George Bush Looks in the Mirror" "I believe in the importance of this job and I have confidence I can do it. I couldn't do it if I were some reluctant dragon being dragged away from a three-wine luncheon." -- George Bush See Chapter 8 and Chapter 10 of "Trail of the Octopus," by Donald Goddard with Lester Coleman. 'Okay,' said Donleavy, putting the pad away in his briefcase. 'You're all set. Now here's the national emergency.' He produced a Mattel Speak 'n' Spell toy computer, and Coleman sat down slowly. 'What the fuck is this? Some kind of joke?' 'No joke, buddy.' Donleavy was deadly serious. 'I want you to take this out to Tony Asmar.' 'Come on, Bill. Are you kidding me? I'm risking my marriage for this?' 'Remember a year ago?' Donleavy said. 'When you pulled the plug on CBN and the Contra deal? Well, this is it. The bottom line. This is where you get to wrap the whole thing up.' 'With that?' 'Yep.' He patted the toy. 'You got a little something extra in there.' 'Great.' Coleman weighed it in his hand suspiciously. 'It's not going to blow up on me, is it?' 'Nothing like that. We put in an extra chip, that's all. When you sit down with Tony, punch in your code word, he'll punch in his, and you'll retrieve the data we loaded in. He'll know what to do with it.' 'Oh, God. Suppose I forget the code word. You know what I'm like with those things.' 'You won't forget this one. You're from the South. What's the Southern slang word for peanut?' 'You mean, goober?' Donleavy beamed. Next day, Coleman flew to Heathrow with the camera equipment and the Mattel Speak 'n' Spell, arriving on the morning of 6 September. From there, he took a direct flight to Larnaca, Cyprus, and after four hours' sleep, caught the midnight ferry to Jounieh. Asmar's fiancee, Giselle, Mary-Claude's sister, met him off the boat, and as it was now Sunday, they joined the family for lunch at their house in Sarba. On Monday, 8 September, Coleman got to work with Asmar in his office at Karintina. After testing the video equipment, they sent Asmar's volunteer cameramen off to start shooting the locations Control had specified in the western sectors of Beirut, places where, Coleman assumed, the hostages were being held. They then put the Speak 'n' Spell on Asmar's desk, set it up in accordance with the maker's instructions, and punched in their code words. Out poured a detailed account of visits made by Robert McFarlane and Lt-Col. Oliver North to Iran, traveling on Irish passports, to organize the sale of TOW missiles and launchers to the Iranian government in exchange for the release of American hostages; details of money transfers and bank accounts, with dates and places -- most of it based on incidents and conversations that could only have been known to the Iranian or American negotiators. 'My God,' said Coleman. He had known North was seriously out of favour at the Pentagon, but here was another glimpse into the pit. 'What are you supposed to do with this stuff?' Asmar looked at him soberly, and Coleman did not press the point. He left Beirut with the camera equipment and videotapes on 11 September, arriving back in Cyprus on the 12th. Next day, he flew to Heathrow, and after an overnight stop in London, traveled on to Montreal, and from there, as Thomas Leavy, to Baltimore Washington International airport, where he checked in, as instructed, at the Ramada Inn. Donleavy, accompanied this time by another agent, arrived there early next morning, the 15th, for a full day's debriefing, and that night Coleman headed south for Alabama to rejoin Mary-Claude at the Lake Martin cottage. On the 23rd, he began his postgraduate studies as a teaching assistant at Auburn University, and on 2 October, also on schedule, Mary-Claude presented him with a daughter, Sarah. Meanwhile, one of Asmar's operatives had delivered the Speak 'n' Spell material to a relative who worked for Al Shiraa, Beirut's pro-Syrian Arabic-language news magazine. When the story ran on 3 November, it was picked up at once by the Western media, touching off an international scandal of such embarrassing proportions that President Reagan was forced to act. On 25 November 1986, he fired North, accepted the resignation of Rear-Admiral John Poindexter, McFarlane's successor as National Security Adviser, and spent the rest of his administration trying to dodge the political fallout from Irangate. 'Most people assumed it was the Iranians who blew the whistle on North, McFarlane and Poindexter,' Coleman says. 'Some even said it was the Russians who leaked the story after the failure of the Reykjavik summit. But it wasn't. It was the Pentagon. It was the DIA. It was me, with my little Speak 'n' Spell.' See 'Pan Am 103: Why Did They Die?, by Roy Rowan In December 1988 al-Kassar picked up some news that threatened to shut down his smuggling operation. Charles McKee's counterterrorist team in Beirut that was investigating the possible rescue of the nine American hostages had got wind of his CIA connection. The team was outraged that the COREA unit in Wiesbaden was doing business with a Syrian who had close terrorist connections and might endanger their planned rescue attempt. Besides McKee, a key member of the team was Matthew Gannon, 34, the CIA's deputy station chief in Beirut and a rising star in the agency. After venting their anger to the CIA in Langley about al-Kassar, McKee and Gannon were further upset by headquarters' failure to respond. Its silence was surprising because Gannon's father-in-law Thomas Twetten, who now commands the CIA's worldwide spy network, was then chief of Middle East operations based in Langley. He was also Ollie North's CIA contact. MCKEE AND GANNON, joined by three other members of the team, decided to fly back to Virginia unannounced and expose the COREA unit's secret deal with al-Kassar. They packed $500,000 in cash provided for their rescue mission, as well as maps and photographs of the secret locations where the hostages were being held. Then the five-man team booked seats on Pan Am 103 out of London, arranging to fly there on a connecting flight from Cyprus. McKee's mother says she is sure her son's sudden decision to fly home was not known to his superiors in Virginia. ''This was the first time Chuck ever telephoned me from Beirut,'' she says. ''I was flabbergasted. 'Meet me at the Pittsburgh airport tomorrow night,' he said. 'It's a surprise.' Always before he would wait until he was back in Virginia to call and say he was coming home.'' Apparently the team's movements were being tracked by the Iranians. A story that appeared in the Arabic newspaper Al-Dustur on May 22, 1989, disclosed that the terrorists set out to kill McKee and his team because of their planned hostage-rescue attempt. The author, Ali Nuri Zadeh, reported that ''an American agent known as David Love-Boy (he meant Lovejoy), who had struck bargains on weapons to the benefit of Iran,'' passed information to the Iranian embassy in Beirut about the team's travel plans. Reported to be a onetime State Department security officer, Lovejoy is alleged to have become a double agent with CIA connections in Libya. His CIA code name was said to be ''Nutcracker.'' Are you trying to tell me that this Irangate / Pan Am 103 business isn't EXACTLY the same situation we find ourselves in with 9/11? See "9/11 Synthetic Terrorism Made in USA," by Webster Griffin Tarpley During the weeks after 9/11, the Reseau Voltaire of Paris represented one of the strongest voices calling the official version into question. Reseau Voltaire's most prominent writer was Thierry Meyssan, the well-known civil rights activist. His book on 9/11, L'effroyable imposture, was primarily a demonstration that the official thesis of a large commercial airliner striking the Pentagon was absurd and impossible. But Meyssan also focused on the central political-institutional questions posed by 9/11, and especially the "angels" question. For Meyssan, the plotters' use of top-secret code words suggested that they had access to other codes, including the US nuclear missile launch codes. At the heart of 9/11 was therefore a blackmail threat to the Bush regime that, if he refused to launch the war of civilizations, the plotters were in a position to do it on their own in a much more sweeping manner, by launching a US nuclear strike against a series of Arab and Islamic capitals. Whatever the Russian and Chinese attitude to such a launch might have been was not specified. Meyssan's thesis was that "from 10:00 AM to approximately 8:00 PM (on Sept. 11), US government officials were not thinking that this was the work of Arab terrorists, but rather that it was an expression of a military coup being carried out by U.S.-based extremists who were capable of provoking a nuclear war." ( www.reseauvoltaire.net , September 27, 2001) Meyssan reported that his research team attempted to determine what network might have been behind the 9/11 attacks. His prime suspect was a group he called the "special forces underground," a terrorist network associated with US-controlled stay-behind networks of the Gladio type which in his opinion maintained close ties to Bin Laden among others. See "Fall of a Vulcan," by Michael Duffy. For anyone who has been trying to follow the bewildering saga of Scooter Libby, Karl Rove, Joseph Wilson and his wife CIA officer Valerie Plame, Fitzgerald's indictment is a helpful road map. After months of confusion, the indictment provides the most concrete evidence yet of a war between the Veep's office and the CIA—a war about a war—and the lengths Libby and his colleagues were willing to go to squelch any criticism of the Administration's prewar behavior. Libby was a Vulcan,* one of the Bush team hard-liners, along with former Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, who helped the President cram for foreign policy debates during the 2000 campaign and who had argued for years that the U.S. should depose Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein and bring democracy and stability to the Middle East. What's more, the Vulcans played for keeps. The indictment alleges that Libby sought to find out all he could about an Administration critic named Joe Wilson, then leaked the identity of Wilson's wife to several reporters to undercut the validity of Wilson's criticism, and then lied about his actions in his grand jury testimony. If convicted, lawyers say, Libby could face up to five years in prison. See "9/11 Synthetic Terrorism Made in USA," by Webster Griffin Tarpley The anthrax incidents of October 2001 must be regarded as an integral part of the entire 9/11 operation. The 9/11 terror attacks were highly effective in terrorizing urban populations, since no one knew when another city might be struck, and with what means. But what of the vast suburbs, and what of rural America? Here kamikaze aircraft, poison gas and dirty bombs were hardly likely. But everyone in the country had a mailbox, and now that mailbox could become the delivery system for a deadly disease. Even the most humble and obscure person living in the most remote location could never be sure that a piece of junk mail in the letterbox had not brushed up against an envelope teeming with lethal anthrax spores. The most harmless daily routine, that of checking the mailbox, suddenly became a tense encounter with the world of biological warfare. The anthrax attacks also provided a most welcome pretext for the Bush administration and the FBI to scale down and to slow down the ongoing probes into 9/11. The anthrax letters provided a reason to re-assign FBI agents to the new danger, before they got anywhere near unearthing the explosive secrets of 9/11. On October 10, FBI assets were shifted away from the 9/11 investigation with the explanation that they were needed for the anthrax emergency. At the same time the anthrax attacks, if properly regarded, can become the Achilles heel of the entire 9/11 operation, since it is here that the cause and effect relationship reaching into the secure weapons labs and military facilities of the US federal government is the most obvious. Anthrax cannot be synthesized by a bunch of rag-heads in a distant cave. Weaponized anthrax can only be obtained at the US Army's biological weapons facility at Fort Detrick, Maryland, and at a very few other centers of the same type controlled by other governments. The existence of weaponized anthrax is ipso facto a strong case for US government collusion in terror attacks on this country. See "9/11 Synthetic Terrorism Made in USA," by Webster Griffin Tarpley In the fall of 2002, a series of sniper murders once again immersed the Washington DC area in fear and terror. These started in Montgomery County, Maryland, and soon spread south into Virginia. Here again the suspect pool was defined as snipers, and snipers are trained by the military services and certain police units. Any competent investigation would have started with lists of snipers trained by the government, especially recently retired or disgruntled ones. But this would once again have made the government into the prime suspect, and again the FBI refused to do this. The investigation was supposedly placed under the control of Montgomery County police chief Charles Ramsey, who ignored the imperative of sifting through the sniper pool, and instead acted as if the shooters could have been any casual passerby. Ramsey announced that telephone tip lines were being set up, and that he would rely on information from the citizenry to catch the felons. Weeks went by. After every sniper attack, road blocks were set up to encircle the entire surrounding area, but nothing was ever found. Local radio stations featured interviews with trained snipers who argued that real snipers were humanitarians who would never fire on unarmed civilians. Finally information arrived which permitted the identification of the vehicle used by the shooters, who were caught while sleeping at a rest stop on I-270. Sure enough, the older of the two shooters had been trained as a sharpshooter by the US Army. He and his younger partner were quickly categorized as lone itinerant psychopaths. This affair served to terrorize the national capital area, including Congress, the Supreme Court, and the executive departments, for the best part of two months. It refreshed and revived the horror generated by 9/11, and provided the immediate backdrop for the November 2002 election. That time around, al Qaeda and its mythical apparatus were not needed. See "Dr. Strangelove," directed by Stanley Kubrick Soldier: You gotta hand it to those Commies. Soldier: Yeah. Those trucks sure look like the real thing, don't they? I wonder where they got them from. Soldier: Probably bought them from the Army as war surplus. Soldier: Okay, open up at 200 yards. "YOU GOTTA HAND IT TO THOSE COMMIES." The supreme neocon guru is Leo Strauss (1899-1973), who
taught politics for many years at the University of Chicago, and later at
St. John's of Annapolis. Strauss was a Marburg Kantian of the Herman Cohen
school who did his doctorate with the irrationalist Ernst Cassirer.
Strauss studied for two years with grants of the Rockefeller Foundation,
which he procured with the help of the Nazi legal theorist Carl Schmitt.
Among Strauss's students were Alan Bloom, the author of the Closing of the
American Mind, and Harvey Mansfield of Harvard. The Straussian-neocon
network is now extensive, and stretches over three generations. Neocons
are famous for helping one another up the career ladder, and for teaching
courses based only on neocon texts. They are narrow-minded, sectarian, and
essentially ignorant of philosophy and history. They are an ideological
faction, often a fanatical faction. We are talking about Wolfowitz, Feith,
Bolton, Luti, Schulsky, Scooter Libby, Cambone, Hadley and others who run
the Bush administration. Neocons outside of government include Perle,
Woolsey, Irving and William Kristol, Norman and John Podhoretz, Saul and
Adam Bellow, and so forth. The older generation
of neocons were often Trotskyist communists; they have retained Trotskyite
theories like the notion of competing elites; the neocons see a battle
between the liberal elite and themselves as central to the political
process.

"Welcome to Terrorland --
Mohamed Atta & the 9-11 Cover-Up in Florida," by Daniel Hopsicker:
The Houston Post's Peter
Brewton, who broke the CIA-Mob connection to the Savings and Loan Scandal,
said Neil Bush's Silverado partners "all had connections to individuals or
S&L's in Texas that did business with organized crime figures or CIA
operatives. Good is one Silverado borrower who got a large loan at a
Texas S&L connected to (Herman Beebe), allegedly connected to the
underworld."
Herman Beebe was an intimate, as
they say, of New Orleans 'Mafia Kingfish,' Carlos Marcello. So Ken
Good hung with both the Bushes and the Mob.
Ken Good cost Americans over $132
million, just from loans from Silverado.
He was destitute, said Bush.
Yet the very next year, the supposedly destitute Good donated $100,000 to
the Republican Party.
Shubin's former partner Kenneth Good
was an example of a certain type of rich person who is bankrupt for
purposes of paying their bills, yet remains a fat cat when it comes time
to buy political influence.
Sociologists call them 'elite
deviants.' They think of themselves as Masters of the Universe.
When Neil Bush was called before
Congress to defend himself against charges he'd failed to disclose
potential conflicts of interest as a director of Silverado, he conceded he
was a go-between with Silverado and his partner Kenneth Good.
But although the disclosure wasn't
reflected in documents provided to Silverado directors, Neil Bush insisted
he'd told Silverado officials that he was involved in an Argentina oil
venture with Good.
When a government attorney asked him
whether he should have corrected the document, Bush said: "Well,
yeah, I would have, if I were a real technical, nit-picky guy."
How strange to find ourselves, while
profiling Atta's American associates, right back in the realm of
spectacular and unsolved crime. Mohamed Atta's American connections
were with people who were crooks. But a certain kind of crook
...
The well-connected kind.

"The Illuminati and the
House of Rothschild," by Johnny Silver Bear:
By the end of the 19th. Century, the
Rothschilds had controlling influence in England, U.S., France, Germany,
Austria and Italy. Only Russia was left outside the financial sphere of
world domination. England, through the Bank of England, ruled most of the
world. Jacob Schiff, president of Khun Loeb Bank in New York was appointed
by B'nai B'rith (A secret Jewish Masonic Order meaning "Brothers of the
Convenant") to be the Revolutionary Leader of the Revolution in Russia. A
cartel, made up of the Carnegies, Morgans, Rockefellers, and Chases would
contribute to the manifestation of communism. On January 13, 1917, Leon
Trotsky arrived in the United States and received a U.S. Passport. He was
frequently seen entering the palatial residence of Jacob Schiff.
Jacob Schiff, and his supporters,
financed the training of Trotsky's Rebel Band, comprised mainly of Jews
from New York's East Side, on Rockefeller's Standard Oil Company property
in New Jersey. When sufficiently trained in the techniques of guerrilla
warfare and terror, Trotsky's rebel band departed with twenty million
dollars worth of gold, also provided by Jacob Schiff, on the ship S.S.

See "Mrs. Kay Griggs on How the Government Works" You didn't used to kill women and children in war, you know, when the British army were pure, kind of. You know, you didn't go out and kill. I think at Dresden they did do some of that, but that was Walt Whitman Rostow and his crowd. And he's a very dangerous man. Because Walt Whitman Rostow is a Communist. He was one of the wise men in Kennedy's administration. I think he was probably responsible for the movement that got Kennedy murdered. I believe it was an Israeli group which did it, with some of these rogues. Walt Whitman Rostow was the one who got us into the Vietnam war because he wanted to sell the weapons and stuff. He and Victor Krulak who is the present Commandant's father, Krulak was his lackey. Walt Whitman Rostow went with General Taylor and wrote the report that got us into the Vietnam war. And all the time that the Pentagon was saying, "No, no, no, no," he was a cheerleader for the weapon sales. He and Henry Kissinger. He and Henry. Walt Whitman Rostow, Eugene Debs Rostow, these were Communists, names for Communists. Eugene Debs Rostow, and, it's either his son or his other brother, runs the big Boston mob, the Port there.
