A DAY WITHOUT A MEXICAN -- ILLUSTRATED SCREENPLAY & SCREENCAP GALLERY

[Lila] As we speak Senator, I am signing my body over to science to hopefully find out what happened to my people.  Now, if I find them, what should I tell them?

[Steven] Tell them, California needs them.

[Lila] Okay, I wish they could have heard that before.

[Vicky] Thank you, Lila.  Thank you, Senator.

[Steven] Gracias.

[Steven] Okay, girls.  Get back in the car.

[Ellen] They're for your father.  Get in the car!

[Ellen] I got you some choritos!

[Abdul Hassan, California University School of Policy] They were saying, "Latinos take $3 Billion in social services and don't pay any taxes."  Turns out it's a big lie!  There was $100 billion we figured out is what the Latinos were contributing to the economy of the State of California.  The undocumented.  Meanwhile, they were taking $3 billion in social services.  That's still $97 billion.  That's a pretty good deal.  But no, people wanted to exaggerate it.  Oh, they were just "taking, taking, taking."  It turns out it was lies.
