The snake and sun are Aztec designs -- I'm half Mexican -- symbolizing rebirth and wisdom through the undergoing of suffering and near-death experience. It can be read not only as a passage from darkness to light but also as a symbol of sexuality and life ... the sperm into the ovum. |
