Portrait of a Spaniard (Herman Alsina). 1912. Oil on canvas, 6'6-3/4" x 5'5-3/4". Private collection. Herman Alsina was a Catalan-born decorative artist and book designer. Alsina was a friend of Diego's who had a studio among the artists in La Ruche in Paris, but this work appears to have been painted in Toledo.
