In addition to the Riconosciuto lawyers, the list included Vali Delahanty, whose knowledge of a DEA plan to set up Riconosciuto on a drug charge would have made her an important witness for Riconosciuto. She disappeared on Aug. 18, 1992 but her body was not discovered until the following April, in a ravine near Lake Bay, Washington. (Stich, p. 407). Another Riconosciuto ally, Pete Sandvigen, who was working to help Riconosciuto defend himself from the drug charges died the following December, an ammo clip from the gun he carried mysteriously missing.
