Dear Charles:

Per your request at the conclusion of the depositions of the City witnesses held on November 3, 2006, this letter will confirm that Kathleen Parker is not, and has never been, an employee or agent of The Washington Post Company (the "Post Company"). Nor was Ms. Parker authorized by the Post Company to contact the City of Ashland, or anyone else, concerning the American Buddha website.

As we have discussed, in light of those facts, we do not see any basis for a claim against the Post Company. Accordingly, I have attached a stipulation of dismissal of the claims against the Post Company. If it meets with your approval, please sign it and forward it to our local counsel, David Angeli, at the address below. We will see that it is filed.
